Today was a big day for me...

You see, a little while ago I met some really nice people and their nice dog.  And guess what??  They said they liked me too!!!  Today I met them again up at the barn.
Here I am playing with my new friend, Loper.  Don't you think he's handsome?

Nice Missis told me a long time ago that someday my forever family would find me - and as it turns out, my new friends want to be my forever family!!  This made me super happy because I really like all of them.  They signed some papers and I gave Nice Missis a hug good bye and I went home with them today.
Isn't that big????

I'm glad I got in one last nap with my little friend Oscar yesterday...

I'm an Auntie!

How did that happen, you ask??
Once upon a time, there was a mama dog and her three puppies.  Somehow they ended up wandering the streets - and then ended up in a shelter.  After a while the shelter didn't have room for them anymore and it was time for them to go - one way or another.  Gulp.  Just like me when I was in the shelter...

And just like for me, the nice people at BADRAP said they would make room for this mama and her babies.  Whew!!  Close call.  Mama and her babies have been staying at the Rescue Barn for a while - but taking care of that many puppies is a lot of work, so several BADRAP folks raised their hand to take care of a puppy, so the Mama didn't have to do all the work.

So, one of the puppies came to my foster home.  And that's how I became Auntie Possum*.
Here are a few photos of me and Oscar.  Nice Missis says I make a really good babysitter.

Tomorrow, Nice Missis says I'm going to have an operation to make sure I am only ever an Auntie - and never a mommy myself.  I think that's a good idea.  This one puppy is work enough!!!

*nice missis says auntie possum sounds like something she would order in an italian restaurant - whatever that is...

My Uncle Rube

The best thing about my foster home is my Uncle Rube.  I do everything with Uncle.  Well...I do wish he would play with me a little bit more than he does, but Nice Missis said that Uncle is an elderbull and that means he can play as little or as much as he wants.  And that's okay with me.  What Uncle lacks in play time he makes up for in teaching time.  He is very wise and knows a lot - and he has taught me so much!!!

Uncle has taught me how to wait patiently

Uncle has taught me how to ride in a sidecar

Uncle has taught me the best place to watch Nice Mister pick up poop from the back yard

Yep - me and Uncle are attached at the hip.
